protein-packed breakfast smoothie

My go-to is a protein-packed breakfast smoothie that keeps my blood sugar stable and my energy levels steady throughout the day.

My go-to protein-packed breakfast smoothie

This smoothie has it all. It’s thick, creamy, deliciously caramel-y, and filling—and it will keep you going for hours. It reminds me of the avocado drink you get in Morocco, traditionally made with avocado, condensed milk, and almonds. But this version has all the nutrients you need to set you up for a day full of energy. Thanks to the fat, protein, and fibre content, it will keep your blood sugar stable and your nervous system regulated.

Ingredients:

  • 1 avocado (rich in healthy fats and fibre to keep you full and support hormone health)

  • 1-1.5 cups milk (organic soy milk is a great choice for added protein and creaminess)

  • 2 scoops protein powder (choose a high-quality plant-based or animal-based to support muscle repair and keep blood sugar stable)

  • 2-3 tbsp tahini (a great source of calcium and healthy fats for energy and satiety)

  • 1 tbsp maca powder (supports hormone balance and boosts energy)

  • 3-4 ice cubes (for a refreshing texture)

  • optional: 1 tbsp mushroom complex (adaptogens to support your stress response)

  • optional: 1 tbsp flax seeds (rich in omega-3s and fibre for gut health)

If you’re working out or need more carbs, consider adding a banana for natural sweetness and an energy boost.

Blend on high for at least 1 minute. That’s it—easy, quick, and packed with everything you need to feel energised.
